Marina Neville

Accredited Family Mediator  (OAFM) & Founder

Hi!

My approach to mediation is rooted in empathy, respect, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges families face during times of transition. I’m passionate about helping individuals navigate separation and co-parenting with clarity and compassion - always prioritizing the best interests of children and the long-term well-being of families.

As a certified family mediator with the OAFM, I bring a strong foundation in communication, social work, and family dynamics to my practice. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carleton University in 2014, with a focus on Sociology and Women’s Rights & Gender Studies. After completing my undergrad, I went on to earn a Social Service Worker diploma from Algonquin College and later obtained my Family Mediation Certification from Herzing College.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me spending time with my family, enjoying the outdoors, and volunteering within my community.

What shapes my work

Focus on interests, not positions

Sometimes separating couples share more similarity than they think. Finding out what matters most can open up new possibilities and solutions that work for both people.

Keep children at the centre, not in the middle

Kids' needs, experiences, and well-being should remain central to the decisions that shape their lives.

Curiosity over assumptions

Asking thoughtful questions and staying curious helps people better understand themselves, each other, and the possibilities for moving forward.

The kinds of people and resources I often recommend

Therapists and counsellors who offer practical, compassionate support (for both you and the kids!)

Somatic supports like massage, yoga, meditation, EFT

Practical services whether that's a cleaner, babysitter, or other help that takes some of the pressure off while you navigate change.

Financial professionals who can explain money in plain language.
